“I’m sorry, sir. But we really can’t help you with it.”
“Huh? Why?”
“First of all, we are in a hurry. Second, we don’t want to involve ourselves in illegal activities. After all, I’m just a simple hunter and this girl doesn’t even have a job.”
They silence.
“I understand.” The owner stands up then beams a smile. “Sorry that I’ve taken your time.”
Swallowing her guilt, Bailey stands and shake his hand. “We are very sorry we couldn’t be much help either.”
“I wish you two a good journey.”
“And we wish you good luck, sir.”
Kiri slowly stands. She can only look at Bailey with a sad disappointed look as Bailey releases the handshake.
“Ah, by the way.” Bailey speaks. “I’ve been wondering. How come that tank track stops there, but there’s no tank?”
“Ah, that. Last night someone with a big tank truck stopped by.”
Bailey’s interest piqued. It’s the man she’s looking for.
“His fuel ran out but we didn’t have fuel either so we let him stay for the night with a small fee. Just this morning he left with GravBelt attached to his truck.”
“Do you… know where that man went?”
Kiri expresses a slight disbelieve. To think that Bailey is trying to get the information she needs without intending to pay for it.
“Yes, I did have a little chat with him. He told me where he was heading.”
“Where can that be…?”
The man simply stares at Bailey with his unchanging smile. “Why do you want to know?”
Bailey’s heart skips a beat. This man read her move.
“Nothing. I’m just curious.”
“Oh, if that’s so…”
She doesn’t have a choice. She can’t think of anything to make the man spills it. If she ends the conversation here, her only hope will vanish. But if she can’t think of any smart words, the man will know she needs that information thus she will have to do his bidding.
The owner suddenly chuckles. “Ladies, I know you are following that track.”
What a surprise. Bailey flinches upon hearing that. She thinks she has failed hiding her intention.
She put out a fake smile and asks. “H-How did you know…”
“Well…” Kiri speaks up. “I told him when you were asleep.”
To think that her effort to hide it turns to waste, in fact she doesn’t even need to in the first place, leave a constant disbelieve and sorrow look on Bailey’s face. “Kiri… you’re… such an idiot.”

“AAAH! I can’t believe that guy!” Bailey shouts her lungs off in anger. She is now flying with her GravBelt behind Kiri towards the water pump. “Now we have to make the pump work no matter what.”
“W-Well, don’t blame me. You shouldn’t have wiggle your way like that, Bailey.”
“If only you didn’t tell him.”
“Haaah Okay, okay, it’s my fault. I didn’t know you can use information that way.”
“Just what kind of life have been living?”
“Uh… A very fun kind?”
“I just hope the pump only run out of battery or something.”
“Or have some nasty thing clogged in the pipe?”
“You’re the one getting that thing out, then.”
“Eh?! Ew no way! Why me?”
“Well, you jinx it!”
“You’re having a girl doing such a dirty job! What kind of man are you?!”
“Don’t treat me like a man only when it’s convenient for you!”
Just when they are having a leisure talk, suddenly something hit Kiri’s GravBelt, sending it off-balance. She quickly regains that balance but they notice something.
The water pump is in sight. A small cubicle with a door, just as what the owner described. But around that are tents built by bandits who are now swarming the place complete with their guns. One of them just shot Kiri’s GravBelt with a sniper rifle.
“Hmmm? That’s weird. I’m pretty sure I hit that girl.” The shooter, who is a tall skinny man with a yellow Mohawk mumbles.
“Kiri! Quickly follow me!” Bailey pulls Kiri by her arm and hides behind a pillar.
“B-Bailey… are those…”
“Bandits. They are most likely the ones who turned the pump off.”
“What are we gonna do, Bailey?”
“Well…” With a fire of determination yet dread, Bailey replies. “… There’s only one thing.”

SWORDSGIRL AND COCKROACH CHAPTER 1  CROUCHING ROACH GIRL HIDDEN COCK PART 1 This is a desert, a red rock desert. It’s filled with lives, from plants to herbivores to carnivores. One can see the horizon since it’s a flat land, but natural rock pillars, which are the desert’s unique feature, will obstruct it. The name is Stoneneedle Desert. Right now it’s noon so the desert should be really hot. But one girl standing on top of one of the fifty meters’ pillars doesn’t seem to feel that as she confidently stands near the top’s edge cladded in her blue hoodie with cockroach-like symbol printed on it. Her bright brown hair doesn’t flow there isn’t any wind even up there, as well as her two ‘antennas’ that are actually two strands of long hair. And if only the shade casted by that pillar isn’t so dark, one can easily look up her panties beneath her white skirt. By the way just to add up, she wears a brown boots (I have no idea how to connect this last description with the others)
